1. Infrastructure
1.1 Crosschain
ForceBridge, a component of Nervos' stellar trident, was launched in early October. This first version supports the cross-chain assets between the Ethereum and CKB chains.
What can you do with ForceBridge?
You can generate ckETH from Ethereum through ForceBridge and then stake the ckETH in NexisDAO, lend out the TAI stablecoin that you generate during the process, and participate in CKB's DeFi ecosystem. We will further introduce NexisDAO in the next section.

1.2 Layer 2
Godwoken is a Layer2 solution that includes Polyjuice's EVM compatibility layer + Roll-up expansion. After running on the testnet for 3 months, the team announced on November 4 the official launch of the beta version on the Nervos CKB mainnet. The beta version has the essential functions up and running and will continue to improve and add new functions based on the feedback and demands from the community.
The demand and stress test of this solution is mainly from Yokaiswap. Thanks to the Yokaiswap test procedures, we gathered a lot of feedback and optimized Godwoken accordingly to provide a good user experience for the apps deployed on Godwoken.
Secured by Nervos’ Layer 1 through an optimistic roll-up, Godwoken Layer 2 ensures high throughput and security. Combined with its Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) support, it enables developers to employ Ethereum contracts while keeping transactions scalable, fast, and low-cost.
For more information about the capabilities of Godwoken, please visit: https://www.nervos.org/blog/nervos-launches-godwoken-mainnet-beta
Godwoken is initially launching into a Mainnet Beta, during which we will be whitelisting projects to give next-level support. Whitelisting will provide projects with access to an additional private discord for the most up-to-date L2 information as it happens and launch engineering support. Please fill out the whitelist application here
Godwoken’s launch marks a milestone event and the realization of a two-layer architecture design of Nervos. At the same time, it means that the previously announced "Nervos trident" is finally complete.
pw-core: connects internet users and enables them to join the blockchain without any barriers. Realized by UniPass, there are already many applications built on the Nervos ecosystem, such as mibao.net, kollect.me, and other community applications
forcebridge: connects users from different blockchains and enables cross-chain transactions. A two-way cross-chain bridge between ETH and CKB is already available, and subsequent versions will support more chains.
polyjuice: enables compatibility with other public chain smart contracts. It lowers the threshold for developers so that applications on other chains can be deployed on the Nervos network at a meager cost.
1.3 Stablecoin
On Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, NexisDAO, the first decentralized stablecoin protocol on Nervos, went live, marking a milestone event and the beginning of the DeFi era on Nervos.
Within 3 hours after the official launch of the NexisDAO, the number of staked CKB surpassed 25 million.

NexisDAO tutorial: https://link.medium.com/zhqB6MdE2kb
NexisDAO is the equivalent of the "Maker DAO'' on the Nervos ecosystem. Users can mint TAI - a USD pegged stablecoin, by overcollateralizing crypto assets and exchanging TAI for safe-haven assets or stake it to gain liquidity for increased returns. TAI can also be transferred freely or traded, used as a means of payment for goods and services, or as a store of value as any other stablecoin.
NexisDAO has no thresholds and is fully decentralized. At the moment, it only supports CKB as a collateral asset. However, DAO members will be able to add other assets too, if consensus is reached.
1.4 Protocol Upgrade
According to the 2021 protocol upgrade plan disclosed by the team earlier this year, once the ecosystem is ready, two versions of ckb - the v0.101.0 and the v0.102.0 will be released. The former is to activate the CKB testnet, and the latter is to start the mainnet.
Checking the GitHub repository, we see that v0.101.0 has been ready since more than 10 days ago. That is, v0.101.0 is already running on the testnet.
The next step is to release v0.102.0, which will determine which block height the protocol upgrade will be conducted tentatively.
2. Ecosystem
2.1 NFT
2.1.1 Mibao
The first batch of "Cyber Journey to the West" custom Wukong NFT avatars is now SOLD OUT.
"Cyber Journey to the West" is the first custom NFT virtual avatar project based on the story and characters of "Journey to the West". This time, they released 300 Wukong NFT avatars for sale, which quickly sold out.
The maximum number of NFT avatars issued in the "72 Changes" is 8888. You can combine items of different rarities to customize the NFT avatars. Once the avatar is created, the official website of CJW will synchronize the created avatar and related creator information, so other users cannot create the same avatar!
2.1.2 Kollect.me
Kollect.me is the first NFT trading platform that supports the issuance of NFTs on Nervos Layer 1. It is similar to OpenSea, and you can log in with a registered account via UniPass and obtain your CKB address, then mint an NFT.
Transaction fees on kollect.me are almost inexistent. It uses the technical capabilities provided by UniPass to allow Internet users to enter the blockchain world with almost no barriers.
2.2 UniPass
UniPass ID entered the internal testing phase this week, and we expect to start connecting with the first batch of developers within this week. After this phase, we will launch a public beta with prizes: commemorative badges, early-bird badges, etc., for the enthusiastic community testers.
Frank Lou, the founder of Lay2 Tech, was invited to the 38th episode of Multicoin Capital's podcast program "51%". There, Frank Lou shared more about the background of the Lay2 team and explained why they decided to join the blockchain industry in 2017. He also talked about the development of Portal Wallet and how it led them to the conception of Unipass.
Frank Lou also shared his thoughts about how Web 3.0 is reaching the same level of mass adoption as the mobile internet and mentions some of the use cases for Unipass. He also explained the product's security and private key storage solutions. Specifically, he explains why email, a protocol that has lasted for 50 years, is the standard across Web 2.0 and 3.0.
Frank then discussed the identity in Web 3.0, the forms of on-chain reputation that exist, new products like Y.at (and why people are willing to pay for it), and the potential for people to aggregate their reputations on different blockchains.
Frank Lou also talked about his experience running a team decentralized, which could be very relevant for entrepreneurs who want to run their teams decentrally.

2.3 DAS
DAS is a decentralized account system on Nervos. Since its launch on July 22, the team has focused on the product and the ecosystem, and significant progress has been made.
Product
The DAS market: https://bestdas.com
Ecosystem
Wallets: Huobi Wallet, imToken, TokenPocket, AlphaWallet, BitKeep, Hyperpay, and more.
Integrations: Mibao, NFTGO , NFTSCAN.
Registration service: Dename.com.
We believe that, in the field of domains, DAS is the strongest competitor besides ENS. The demand for DAS's .bit accounts is also increasing, and DAS has now opened 35% of accounts.
das.la, a DAS registration tool developed by the community, has gradually become the guide for newcomers and has gained a good reputation. das.la has been now included in the DAS ecosystem
2.4 YokaiSwap
YokaiSwap is the first Layer 2 DEX on Nervos Network. With the launch of Godwoken, the infrastructure that YokaiSwap relies on, Yokai is ready to take the following steps.
A few days ago, YokaiSwap tweeted “Something is coming,” which is intriguing:
Yokai is built on Godwoken, a high-performance permissionless framework for Layer 2 Rollup. Yokai's smart contracts use Solidity, the same language as Ethereum Dapps, and provide a fully compatible contract through Polyjoice, one of the core components of Nervos Interoperability 2.0. This means that all Ethereum-based Dapps can connect to Nervos Layer 2 at almost zero cost.
Yokai is one of the first projects funded by InNervation, an ecological fund jointly created by CMB International and Nervos. Currently, Yokai’s code is completely open-source.

2.5 Games
2.5.1 CSD
Celebrity Smack Down is the first NFT card game built on top of the Nervos blockchain. CSD also serves as a research project to further community knowledge of NFTs on the Nervos blockchain ( known as mNFTs) and serves as a trailblazer for NFT games on the Nervos blockchain.
The CSD’s NFT cards are linked to the Twitter account of each celebrity. These NFTs change their ability levels and other characteristics based on the number of fans that the particular celebrities have, thereby affecting their utility in the game. This is a special and unique feature of Nervos’ NFT. We think this is the first step of NFT 2.0, allowing NFT to link external data and change its attributes based on it. The mNFT protocol is also under continuous development.

2.5.2 Hunting NFT
HuntingNFT is a play-to-earn project initiated by the Nervos community and has recently completed a preliminary verification of the economic model. Based on feedback from the internal beta testers, closed development iterations on gameplay, interaction, and UI will be carried out soon, and the team plans to roll out a beta version around the end of November.
3. Conclusion
As of the publication of this journal, Nervos's infrastructure has completed a closed-loop: Layer1+Layer2 two-layer architecture. At the same time, other ecological projects have been put into production one after another. Nervos spring is coming. Stay tuned!
