1. NexisDAO, the first DeFi project on the Nervos ecosystem, is live.
On Wednesday, NexisDAO, the first decentralized stablecoin protocol on Nervos, went live, marking a milestone event and the beginning of the DeFi era on Nervos.
NexisDAO has no thresholds and is fully decentralized. At the moment, it only supports CKB as a collateral asset. However, DAO members will be able to add other assets too, if consensus is reached.
In addition, NexisDAO will solve the main problem of the CKB that are locked in the Nervos DAO with dCKB, an sUDT implemented by NexisDAO for Nervos DAO. Users who deposit CKB into Nervos DAO simultaneously can mint the same number of dCKBs and trade them freely. Of course, to withdraw CKB from Nervos DAO, the corresponding dCKBs need to be burned.
As of the time of writing, the TVL of CKB in NexisDAO has reached 30,028,000 CKB, and the minted TAI has reached 25,506.
NexisDAO is the equivalent of the "Maker DAO'' on the Nervos ecosystem. Users can mint TAI - a USD pegged stablecoin, by overcollateralizing crypto assets and exchanging TAI for safe-haven assets or stake it to gain liquidity for increased returns. TAI can also be transferred freely or traded, used as a means of payment for goods and services, or as a store of value as any other stablecoin.
2. What is coming to YokaiSwap?
YokaiSwap tweeted "Something's coming" on Wednesday, which made room for all sorts of speculations.
YokaiSwap is officially in public beta right now. For those who haven't participated in the beta yet, you can visit the link below.

YokaiSwap is the first interoperable DEX in the Nervos ecosystem that uses the AMM (Automated Market Maker) mechanism and will offer liquidity mining and staking. What makes Yokai stand out is its cross-chain capabilities, allowing crypto assets and users from other chains to interact with Yokai, making it a truly revolutionary DEX.
3. Godwoken Is Live: Nervos Launches EVM-compatible Layer 2 Blockchain
Godwoken, an EVM-compatible Layer 2 blockchain on Nervos, is live in mainnet beta.
Secured by Nervos’ Layer 1 through an optimistic roll-up, Godwoken Layer 2 ensures high throughput and security. Combined with its Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) support, it enables developers to employ Ethereum contracts while keeping transactions scalable, fast, and low-cost.
Visit nervos.org/godwoken for more info and fill out the whitelist application for your projects.
4. Frank Lou: Unipass and its Vision for Web 3.0 Mass Adoption
Frank Lou, the founder of Lay2 Tech was invited as a guest to the 38th episode of Multicoin Capital's podcast program "51%". There, Frank Lou shared more about the background of the Lay2 team and explained why they decided to join the blockchain industry in 2017. He also talked about the development of Portal Wallet and how it lead them to the conception of Unipass.
Frank Lou also shared his thoughts about how Web 3.0 is reaching the same level of mass adoption as the mobile internet and mentions some of the use cases for Unipass. He also explained the product's security and private key storage solutions. Specifically, he explains why email, a protocol that has lasted for 50 years, is the standard across Web 2.0 and 3.0.
Frank then discussed the identity in Web 3.0, the forms of on-chain reputation that exist, new products like Y.at (and why people are willing to pay for it), and the potential for people to aggregate their reputations on different blockchains.
Frank Lou also talked about his experience running a team in a decentralized way, which could be very relevant for entrepreneurs who want to run their teams decentrally.
